Circular conveyor systems are material handling systems designed to optimize workflows in industries by continuously transporting goods along a circular route. Circular conveyor systems transport items along a closed-loop circular path using belts, chains, or rollers. A drive unit with motor and transmission delivers controlled motion to the conveying element. Support frames and guide tracks maintain alignment and ensure stable movement.

Structural breakdown of TallMan Robotics Circular Conveyor Systems

This circular conveyor transports products along a closed-loop path using rotating tables, chain drives, or belt mechanisms. The system directs items through a 360-degree circuit with one loading and one unloading point. A central drive unit powers the rotation. Guide rails constrain product movement. Indexing drives stop the conveyor at fixed positions for assembly or inspection. Load capacity depends on deck material and bearing size.

What accessories are in our design for global markets?

In our configuration, usually, we use Delta servo motors+Delta drives of pulse type, Ethercat type or Profinet Type+5 meters power cable+ 5 meters encorder cable. Clients from North America will use 380V Industrial voltage. Most clients use 220V Drives.  Also, we use Trio controller and HMI touch screen for some clients who want us to provide a set of solution. Of course, there are types of controllers respectively for pulse type of drive and for EtherCat type of drive.

FAQs about Circular Conveyor Systems

What types of drives work on Circular Conveyor Systems?

Gear motor with friction drive. Chain and sprocket drive. Direct drive ring gear. Each type suits different torque needs.

How do I stop a Circular Conveyor System at exact positions?

Use an indexing drive with cam follower. Add a proximity sensor and brake. Programmable controller manages stop accuracy.

What is the difference between continuous and indexing?

Continuous runs non-stop. Indexing moves then stops for work. Indexing suits assembly. Continuous suits inspection or drying.

How do I keep products centered on a circular belt?

Install fixed guide rails. Use tapered rollers on the outer edge. Add magnetic guides for ferrous parts.

What bearing type supports a circular table?

Slewing ring bearing for heavy loads. Crossed roller bearing for precision. Ball bearing for light duty only.

How do I adjust belt tension on Circular Conveyor Systems?

Move the tail pulley outward. Take up bolts at two points. Check tension every 500 hours. Replace belt if frayed.

Do Circular Conveyor Systems require special foundations?

No for under 500 kg. Yes for heavy units. Use leveling pads. Anchor bolts prevent shifting during indexing stops.
