RV-SE input flange RV Gear Reducers integrate a two-stage cycloidal disc mechanism with a rigid input flange for direct motor mounting. The first stage uses helical gears. The second stage transfers torque through cycloidal pins and internal ring gear teeth. This design eliminates separate adapters. Here are some main differences between RV Gear Reducers and planetary reducers:

The transmission principle is different:RV Gear Reduers adopt the principle of flexible gear transmission, which is composed of a circular gear and several gears that are interlocked. The planetary gearbox adopts the principle of planetary gear transmission, consisting of a sun gear, multiple planetary gears, and an internal gear. Planetary gear transmission has high transmission efficiency and small volume, suitable for occasions with high space requirements.
Different structure and design: RV Gear Reduers have a relatively complex structure,composed of multiple gear pairs, with high precision and rigidity. The structure of planetary gearboxes is relatively simple,consisting of planetary gear trains and internal gear rings, with a smaller volume and lower cost.
Different application ranges: RV Gear Reduers are suitable for precision transmission and adjustment, such as high-end fields such as robots and precision machinery. Planetary reducers are suitable for various general mechanical equipment, such as packaging, transportation, construction, and other fields.

FAQs about RV-SE Input Flange Type Cycloidal Gearboxes

• How does the input flange simplify motor mounting?

       Bolt the motor directly onto the flange face. Use the centering pilot for alignment. No bell housing or coupling needed. This shortens the assembly length.

• What reduction ratios does RV-SE Gear Reducers offer?

       Standard ratios include30:1, 81:1, 101:1, 121:1, 191:1. Custom ratios go up to 200:1. Ratio depends on cycloidal disc pin count.

• Can RV-SE Gear Reducers handle high radial shaft loads?

       Yes, integrated output bearings support high radial loads. Maximum radial load reaches 60 kN. This suits direct wheel or pulley mounting.

• Can RV-SE replace an RV-E series reducer?

       Compare input flange dimensions first. RV-SE has different bolt circle diameter. Check shaft height and pilot size carefully.
